Knowledge Profile, Self-Efficacy, and Perceived Competencies After a University Extension Experience in Physiotherapy and Kinesiology Students, Paraguay 2025

University extension represents a fundamental pedagogical strategy for integrating theory and practice in the education of health professionals. The aim of this study was to analyze the profile of knowledge, self-efficacy, and perceived competencies among Physiotherapy and Kinesiology students participating in the “Movement and Life” program, Paraguay 2025. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, and non-experimental study was conducted with 63 students. An expert-validated questionnaire assessed knowledge, self-efficacy, and perceived professional competencies. Results showed high theoretical-practical knowledge (84.4%), elevated perceived self-efficacy (mean: 4.26), and a global positive competency score of 91.1%. The extension experience significantly strengthened students’ comprehensive competencies and professional confidence.
